I've been on the tools since I was 16. I'm 42 now, and I still do a bit. Plumbing and heating mostly, and I was a Gas Safe engineer, domestic and commercial.

At one point I had several vans, a team of lads and someone in the office. Every week there were wages to pay, materials to pay for, and digs for the lads when we were working in London. On top of that there were quotes to get out, invoices to chase, and people who just didn't pay.

None of that gets done on site. It gets done at night, after a full day's work.

A lot of it doesn't need you. It needs doing on time, every time, and that's exactly what a good system is for. So I build the systems that take those jobs off you, and leave you to get on with the work you're good at.

Clockwork comes out to trades in person across Manchester, Bolton, Stockport, Cheshire and the North West. On a content day I film and photograph the work for your website and your socials. The full package is the website, then the content, then missed calls texted back.

The trades are where I've come from, not the only place this works. Any business that takes enquiries, books work, sends invoices or chases payment can run on the same kind of systems: offices, clinics, salons, agencies, shops. Give me 30 minutes and I'll look at how it could help yours.

On 21 June 1948, a machine at the University of Manchester, nicknamed the Baby, ran the world's first program stored in a computer's own memory.

Manchester has been building the machines that do the work ever since. I think the useful ones should be built here too, for the businesses here.
